Welcome to Mary Walker School District

We are located in Springdale, Washington, a rural community in the northeast part of the State.  In addition to Springdale Preschool (traditional and ECEAP), our district consists of six (6) traditional and Alternative Learning Experience (ALE) schools:  Springdale Elementary (K-5), Springdale Middle School (6-8), Mary Walker High School (9-12), Mary Walker Alternative High School (9-12), Mary Walker Promise (K-12) and Springdale Academy (K-12).

    Our Vision

Prepare all students for learning at the post-secondary level.

    Message from the Superintendent

On behalf of all of us in the Mary Walker School District, I would like to welcome you to our community. The Mary Walker schools have a long and distinguished history of service to children and families. We are proud of our students. They continue to achieve at high levels and make significant contributions to our community. Just as important as academic excellence, a heavy emphasis is placed on civility, citizenship, and character development.

It is our intent to deliver the very best instructional program possible to our students. Our curriculum is extensive, including college-level courses, special education options, effective student assistance programs, and a variety of enrichment opportunities.

The district provides along with other service providers, a full range of preschool choices. Our elementary school offers a full-day kindergarten program. Secondary students enjoy a full and rich selection of academic, vocational, and extracurricular programs. Counselors and teachers are available to guide students through their secondary and mid-school studies, allowing students to meet state requirements for graduation—and pursue their individual personal interests.

The Board of Education in Mary Walker is committed to excellence. The district is recognized for this commitment at both the local and state level. Our elementary has been a school of distinction for the last two years, the middle school is a College Board pre AP school and our High School Is recognized as a top 500 school in the nation college preparation.

Thank you for your interest in our schools. This Web site is designed to help you learn more about the schools and our community. Please join us as we work together to create a bright and successful future for all of our students.
