I hope everyone has been out enjoying the wonderful spring weather! I know the students really enjoy getting out in the sunshine throughout the day! Things are winding down fast around here, but there is still plenty headed our way!

            Students have been busy showing what they know on a number of assessments this spring. 4^th graders are taking the Reading, Writing, and Math MSP and 3^rd graders are taking Reading and Math MSP. I know they will all do well as long as they give it their all! Be sure they are well rested on testing days! Check the calendar or students planners for the testing dates.

            Besides all the assessments, there is a ton of other learning continuing in the classroom. In reading students are enjoying one of our favorites, Charlotte’s Web or another great story, A Long Way From Chicago. They are also applying what they know about figurative language while writing their own poetry. Math time consists of a variety of review, applying what we know to real life problems, and explorations.

            We have at least one field trip in the works as of right now. It will be June 6^th. We will be traveling to Fort Spokane…more details to come!

            Please make sure students are still completing their reading homework, 20 minutes a night Monday through Thursday, and that you are signing it along with their planners!  Thanks parents for all you hard work and support this year!
